Fasteners, joints.

Fasteners

We use ordinary household appliances in our everyday life. Joint compound are used to tie two or more materials together in those appliances. The joints are divided into two types:
  1. Permanent joints - welding joints, riveted joints. These joints will damage both joint and the joint compound.
  2. Non-permanent joints - fasteners are usually used for the non-permanent joints. It will not damage the joint and the joint compound. Nuts and bolts, clamps and screws are some examples for the fasteners.
